About the Houston Electric Auto Association:  The Houston Electric Auto Association was started in 1987 by the late Ken Bancroft.   The HEAA is a non profit (501 [c]3) organization of electric vehicle owners, hobbyists, educators and enthusiasts dedicated to promoting the use of electric vehicles (EV’s) as an environmental and energy alternative. We are a chapter of the nationwide Electric Auto Association (EAA), and hold regular monthly meetings, public displays, car shows and “tech” sessions to exchange information.

The HEAA is a chapter of The Electric Auto Association, founded in 1967.  Purpose of the Electric Auto Association:

  • To act as a source of information for the membership, other organizations and the public, on the current state of electric vehicle technology worldwide.
  • To encourage experimentation in the building of electric vehicles, particularly to improve energy and resource efficiency, reduce emissions and improve vehicle safety.

After the Faire you can get more information or connect with HEAA on their website.
